Thursday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown ticked down in the ratings. The show scored 2.35 million viewers and a 0.59 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, down 9% and 14% from last week’s 2.574 million and 0.69 demo rating. The viewership was the lowest since the April 30th episode drew 2.338 million while the demo rating was the lowest of the year.
Part of the problem was the fact that the show was going up against the NBA Finals, which did a monster 5.6 demo rating and 14.37 million viewers. The game obliterated competition across broadcast and cable TV, which allowed the weaker SmackDown number to still score #1 among all cable shows for the night ahead of Braxton Family Values’ 0.51 demo rating and 1.058 million viewers.
