Mark Nulty, former commentator, ring announcer and creator of WrestlingClassics.com, passed away after a battle with cancer. His friend Paul Herzog announced the news. Herzog said that Nulty was diagnosed with stage-4 lung cancer after a recurring cough, even though he wasn’t a smoker. The cancer spread to his brain even after chemotherapy and Nulty quietly, without pain, passed away.
Nulty began in Joe Blanchard’s Southwest Championship Wrestling as a TV host and ring announcer. He later worked for World Class Championship Wrestling. He was a ring announcer for other promotions and also provided commentary for Ring of Honor DVDs. He hosted several shoot interview DVDs that he sold through WrestlingClassics.
We would like to offer our condolences to his friends, family and fans.
