According to sources, Lucha Underground is taping through June and their goal is to have to 100 episodes of content completed when season three is finished. 100 episodes is an attractive numbers for distributors selling shows into syndication, which they hope to do with Lucha Underground as it is not a traditional wrestling product, and instead relies heavily on episodic storytelling.
They are still looking to run live events, but at this time they have no dates locked in. Part of the hold us is that they are trying to search for venues that can look similar to the Temple on Boyle Heights. They are looking for smaller venues that have similar layouts, and are trying to design a traveling set that can make the venues look similar.
