16 years ago today, on March 26, 2001, the final “Monday night war” between WWE Raw and WCW Nitro took place, with WWE doing a simulcasted angle where Shane McMahon showed up on Nitro to announce that he had “bought” WCW, while Vince McMahon was simultaneously cutting a promo about owning and burying WCW on Raw.
