Impact Says James Storm Is Out Indefinitely With a Concussion

GFW/Impact is claiming on their website that James Storm “suffered a grade 3 concussion” in his Strap Match at Slammiversary Sunday and “there is no timeline for Storm’s return to action.”

James Storm Suffered Concussion at #Slamm15

Sunday at #Slamm15, James Storm competed against EC3 in a Strap Match. It was the culmination of what has become one of the most personal rivalries on IMPACT. While the conclusion of the match didn’t go the way James Storm would have wanted as EC3 walked away with the victory. However it is the health of James Storm that has us concerned.

We have been told by our medical staff that Storm has suffered a Grade 3 Concussion and there is no timeline for Storm’s return to action. We all wish James Storm a speedy recovery.

They posted this video of him being knocked into the ringpost:

However, it seems like it could just be a storyline. After being thrown into the ringpost, Storm hit one of his moves, then suddenly “passed out,” then was hit with another move by EC3 for the win. The announcers sold the “injury” and it seemed like the planned ending of the match. Of course, he could actually have gotten a concussion. He hasn’t posted anything on social media since before Slammiversary.
