After the results of this morning’s show with B Block, New Japan Pro Wrestling’s on-going G1 Climax tournament is heading into the block finals stage on August 11th and August 12th.
In regards to the standings and competitors still eligible, A Block is down to Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tetsuya Naito as the only possible winners left. Both have 12 points each and will be facing each other in a match during the A Block finals show on August 11th.
B Block is down to Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada as possible winners left heading into the B Block finals show on August 12th. Okada currently leads the block standings with 13 points while Omega is in second place at 12 points. EVIL, who has 10 points, was eliminated from contention after this morning’s show due to a loss suffered against Michael Elgin.
The winner of Naito vs. Tanahashi will face off against the winner of Okada vs. Omega for the finals of the G1 Climax tournament on August 13th.
Similar to the first four shows, both the block finals and G1 Climax finals shows will have English commentary available as an option for NJPW World subscribers.
