Impact News/Spoilers: Edwards Injured, PPV, LVN, Debut, Title Scrapped?

Eddie Edwards Injured

Eddie Edwards was busted open badly in a spot with Sami Callihan, where Callihan hit a chair into Edwards’ face with a baseball bat and the bat also ended up hitting Edwards near the eye. He was bleeding badly and was rushed to the hospital, but is reportedly OK now, according to Dave Meltzer.

Redemption PPV

The April 22 Impact PPV will be called “Redemption” rather than “Lockdown.” The steel cage PPV gimmick has been scrapped, according to Dave Meltzer.

The main event for the show will be Austin Aries vs. Alberto El Patron for the World Championship.

Grand Championship

Matt Sydal “gifted” his Grand Championship to Josh Mathews, which could mean that the title may be done.

The judges and rounds concept was also scrapped at the tapings a couple of nights ago.

Laurel Van Ness Done

Laurel Van Ness dropped the Knockouts Championship to Allie and is most likely done with the company.

She requested her release at the last tapings in November, but Impact wanted her to drop the title first.

EC3 Done

EC3 is also done and was written off in a “Feast or Fired” briefcase match.

Su Yung Debuts

Indie wrestler Su Yung made her debut, feuding with Allie. Yung is married to Rich Swann.

Kid Mikaze

Kid Mikaze, who is married to Sasha Banks and works as a ring gear designer and seamster, was backstage at Impact doing the same work for them, according to PWInsider.
