As noted before, CM Punk and Colt Cabana have been engaged in a defamation lawsuit from WWE doctor Christopher Amann over claims of libel committed by Punk during a 2014 episode of Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast show. Amann claimed Punk’s statements of medical malpractice committed towards him during his time in the WWE were false and wanted monetary damages in return.
In an update to this situation, PWInsider reported the jury in Punk’s defamation trial reached a verdict earlier today in favor of Punk and Cabana with neither required to pay any money to Amann. It was also reported the jury took a little under two hours to make their official decision. The Wrestling Observer reported Amann was demanding around $3,989,000 in monetary damages with the breakdown of $1 for every download of the disputed Art of Wrestling episode and the rest as punitive damages.
