Brickhouse Brown, real name Frederick Seawright, who was a top wrestler in independent southern promotions in the 1980s and 90s, passed away this morning at the age of 57 after a battle with cancer.
His death was prematurely announced on July 20 after he flatlined in hospice care in Mississippi and was pronounced dead by the hospice nurse. His mother fell asleep next to him and was woken up by Brown saying, “Mom, I’m hungry,” according to Dave Meltzer. A coroner was on his way to take his body at the time.
Nine days later, he has passed away.
He wrestled in the independent scene, mainly in Tennessee and Mississippi, up until a prostate cancer diagnosis in 2017.
