Kevin Owens Reportedly Legitimately Injured, Will Require Surgery

Kevin Owens reportedly has a legitimate knee injury, which will require surgery, though the severity is not yet known.

WWE said after Raw that Kevin Owens “sustained injuries to both knees when Bobby Lashley viciously wrapped Owens’ legs around a turnbuckle after their match” on Raw. That was a storyline injury to cover up for a legit knee injury that Owens has.

According to Dave Meltzer, Owens will be going into surgery soon and the severity of the injury and nature of the surgery won’t be known until he is further examined, so as of now there is no estimated return time.

WWE also announced today that Owens has been pulled from Mixed Match Challenge and Natalya is now in need of a new partner. Natalya and her new partner will face Lashley and Mickie James on Mixed Match Challenge next week.
