As noted before, Impact Wrestling is reportedly looking for a possible new TV network as its contract with Pop TV winds down. Relations between Impact and Pop have soured since Pop moved Impact’s time slot out of prime time.
Impact’s contract with Pop expires on December 31 of this year, but Impact will remain on Pop until at least “early 2019,” the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported.
There has been some speculation that Aro Lucha might be coming to Pop based on a commercial that aired during the November 2nd episode of Impact!, which said that Aro Lucha is “Coming 2019.” However, it wasn’t clear if that was a paid commercial or not and there’s no announced deal between the companies yet.
In regards to possible new networks, a recent episode of the PWTorch Livecast show reported that Impact officials are currently in negotiations with TruTV, SyFy, and WGN as potential destinations.
