As noted before, an ex-husband of Charlotte Flair is currently suing Charlotte, Ric Flair, WWE, and author Brian Shields in regards to allegations of defamation made in the biographical book Second Nature. The lawsuit revolves around a portion of the book focusing on the brief but alleged troubled marriage of Riki Paul Johnson and Charlotte prior to Charlotte joining WWE in May 2012.
In an update to the lawsuit’s status, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a motion to extend the amount of time to respond to the lawsuit was granted on November 29th by the court to all of the defendants in the case. Johnson reported that Charlotte and the other parties involved now have until January 18, 2019 to officially respond unless Riki Paul Johnson files an amended lawsuit, which would legally reset the time for their official response.
