Footage has gone viral of a fan sitting at ringside at the Royal Rumble last night being forced to remove his All Elite Wrestling t-shirt by security.
Here’s video of someone being forced to take off his AEW shirt by WWE.

The Young Bucks and AEW responded on Twitter:
Let it be known that if you wanna wear a WWE shirt at Double Or Nothing or any AEW related event we won’t do this to you.

Bummer to see this. Hopefully he still has a good time tonight.

Absolutely not, like @NickJacksonYB said last night “Let it be known that if you wanna wear a WWE shirt at #DoubleOrNothing or any #AEW related event we won’t do this to you.” https://t.co/L7erqOCaqR

On January 8, the day of the AEW rally, there were a ton of reports (and videos) on social media of fans being turned away from SmackDown for wearing AEW shirts. When WWE started getting backlash on the internet, they reversed their policy and denied that it was ever their policy in the first place, despite the video footage of security admitting it. After that backlash, it seemed like that was probably the end of WWE’s “no AEW shirts” policy, which will always get out and look bad for them, but apparently not.
