WWE Wrestlers’ Backstage Reactions to Ambrose Story, and to Jericho’s AEW Contract Amount

Some WWE wrestlers immediately thought that the Dean Ambrose leaving situation is a work because WWE unusually announced that he’s leaving on their website, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

But Meltzer said, “As far as I can tell, this is legit. I know he’s been unhappy.”

As far as AEW, Meltzer pointed out that Ambrose is friends with Cody and Chris Jericho and said, “If he’s a free agent in April, will [AEW] want him? The answer is yes.”


Chris Jericho’s AEW Contract

Chris Jericho’s contract number went around the WWE locker room, which “stunned” and “freaked” a lot of people, depending on their viewpoint, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.

Meltzer said:

Jericho’s contract number went around the WWE locker room and a lot of people were stunned, freaked, depending on your viewpoint.

It wouldn’t be a John Cena number and it’s not a Brock Lesnar number and I don’t think it’s a Ronda Rousey number. Maybe it is, I don’t know. But it’s one of the higher numbers. It would be near the top in WWE.
