Arn Anderson Comments on His Departure from WWE

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Arn Anderson and one of the topics discussed included Anderson’s thoughts on his recent departure from WWE.

“I was fortunate enough to work with WWE for 18 years. Certainly that provided my family and myself with a nice living, and I have no regrets. A lot of my best friends still work there. Everything has a shelf life, and I guess mine ran out.”


Ric Flair Health Status Update

Ric Flair reportedly underwent surgery on Friday for an unknown medical reason, according to PWInsider.

PWInsider reported that on Thursday’s episode of NBA on TNT halftime show for the Mavericks vs. Nuggets NBA game, Charles Barkley announced that Flair was going to have surgery on Friday and gave his well wishes for Flair’s recovery. Barkley, who is a close friend of Flair, did not provide any other details regarding Flair’s current health status.

As of Saturday afternoon, the official reason for Flair’s surgery was still not known.

Major League Wrestling announced that Jordan Oliver has recently signed a contract with the company.

National Wrestling Alliance recently released a new episode of their Ten Pounds of Gold series on YouTube featuring NWA World Heavyweight champion Nick Aldis and Harley Race.

Women of Wrestling reportedly will be taping episodes for the second season of their television series on AXS TV on May 15th and May 16th in Los Angeles, California, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer reported that this new season will be 24 episodes in length and is currently scheduled to premiere this Fall.

Starrcast announced that their next convention, Starrcast II, will be held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada from May 23-26 and that Arn Anderson will be appearing at the convention for a “non-fed live mic” panel.
