NWA Reveals Entire Bracket for 2019 Crockett Cup Tournament

The National Wrestling Alliance recently announced the entire bracket for this year’s Crockett Cup tournament, which takes place on April 27th at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. This year’s tournament features eight teams representing NWA, ROH, CMLL, and NJPW.

Block A:

  • The Briscoes vs. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express
  • Satoshi Kojima & Yuji Nagata vs. PCO & Brody King

Block B:

  • Flip Gordon & Bandido vs. Stuka Jr. & Guerrero Maya Jr.
  • Jax Dane & Crimson vs. the winners of a Wild Card Battle Royal


Viceland’s Dark Side of the Ring Ratings – April 10, 2019

Wednesday’s premiere episode of the Dark Side of the Ring documentary series drew 154,000 viewers on Viceland.

This episode featured the real life troubled relationship between “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth and was the first episode in a six-part series covering wrestling’s dark and troubled past.


Impact TV Update

Impact Wrestling is currently working on plans to find a new television home for their weekly TV show by this fall, according to PWInsider. It was reported that if this does happen, Impact! would air on the new network and secondary Impact-related programming would air on Pursuit Channel.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Major League Wrestling reportedly are currently considering plans to hold a tour in the United Kingdom and Europe at some point in the future, according to PWInsider.

In an update to Aerostar’s status with Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Lucha Central reported that the rumors of Aerostar leaving AAA are not true and instead he is remaining in the company but will be personally handling all of his non-AAA bookings going forward.
