Various: WWE Hall of Fame Hosts and More, AAA MSG Press Conference Update, Indies

WWE Hall of Fame 2019 Ceremony News & Notes

WWE announced that Corey Graves and Renee Young will be the official hosts of this Saturday’s Hall of Fame ceremony at the Barclays Center in New York City, New York.

USA Network reportedly will be airing a one-hour edited version of year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony following the end of next Monday’s episode of RAW on the network, according to Post Wrestling.

WWE reportedly will be inducting Wahoo MacDaniel, Luna Vachon, “Playboy” Buddy Rose, and Jim Barnett among the names for this year’s Legacy Wing inductions, according to WrestlingInc.com.

WWE announced that they will be unveiling a new Hall of Fame statue during tomorrow’s WrestleMania Axxess fan event in Brooklyn, New York. This new statue will join Andre The Giant, Ric Flair, Bruno Sammartino, Ultimate Warrior, and Dusty Rhodes who have all received this special honor by the company.


AAA Madison Square Garden Press Conference Update

As noted before, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide will be holding an official press conference tomorrow at 11:30AM ET in Madison Square Garden.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that several Impact Wrestling officials are currently expected to be in attendance for tomorrow’s press conference.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AAA currently has a tentative date of October 15th for this event and intially had plans to feature talent from All Elite Wrestling in their press conference. Meltzer reported that as of earlier this week, there is no deal in place between the two companies for this event nor does AEW currently have any plans to send their talent for this event.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Shane Strickland announced that his final match in the indies will be for The Wrestling Revolver at their April 6th Pancakes and Piledrivers 3 event in New York City, New York. Strickland is currently scheduled to report to WWE’s Performance Center early next week.

Amazing Red recently announced that he has retired from wrestling and will no longer be appearing at any of his previously scheduled bookings for this week’s series of indies events. Red also announced that he will be continuing working as a trainer for House of Glory’s wrestling gym.

ROH reportedly have recently signed Maria Manic, Moses Maddox, and Jasper Kaun to official contracts with the company, according to PWInsider and Fightful. PWInsider reported that Maddox and Kaun were both given developmental deals and are three years in length.

Major League Wrestling announced a new match for the card of their April 4th Rise of the Renegades event in Queens, New York:
