Dr. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae vs. Awesome Kong

Allie joined the commentary team.

Brandi Rhodes suddenly came out and said that she doesn’t want a great match, she wants a match that is awesome. Awesome Kong then came out to make the match a four way.

They all immediately went after Kong, but she made easy work of them until she ran at Britt Baker, who pulled the top rope down, sending Kong to the outside.

Kylie and Britt went for a double superplex off the middle rope on Rose, but Kong came in with a powerbomb, sending everyone down to the mat.

Later, Baker dived onto Kong on the outside, but she caught her. Kylie Rae then hit a tope suicida to take them out.

In the end, Baker hit a superkick, then an ushigoroshi on Kylie Rae for the win. Decent match, kind of sloppy at times. Kylie Rae is great…

Winner: Britt Baker (11:10)

Best Friends vs. Angélico & Jack Evans

Best Friends Trent and Chuckie T went to hug each other early in the match, but Angelico and Evans gave them a double dropkick, getting heat from the crowd. But later on, the Best Friends were able to take down their opponents and get their hug, getting a pop.

Winners: Best Friends (12:35)

Angelico and Evans wanted a hug after the match, and Best Friends agreed… They went in for a hug but the lights went out…

When the lights came back on, two guys were in the ring. The commentators didn’t give any names. The lights went out again and a bunch of masked guys were at ringside, and took out the four guys in the ring. Crowd chanted “who are you?” They hit a cool doomsday-device-like move on Trent, then posed in the ring. No explanation was given for who they are, but they are an indie tag team known as “Super Smash Brothers.” Probably will have to get a name change in AEW because of copyright reasons.

Winners: Hikaru Shida, Riho & Ryo Mizunami (13:10)

Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes

There was a throne with skulls on it for Cody’s entrance. He entered with Brandi Rhodes. They walked to the ring and Brandi handed Cody a sledgehammer. The crowd popped… Cody walked to the throne, which also had Triple H’s “logo” on it… and Cody smashed the throne with the sledgehammer. Hmmm…

Cody did a Stardust taunt to Dustin early in the match, getting a pop from the crowd. Dustin hit a flipping senton off the apron to the outside, getting a “you still got it” chant.

Dustin pulled off one of the middle turnbuckles and tossed it into the crowd, then ran at Cody, but Cody took him down face first into the exposed turnbuckle. Dustin went to the outside, dazed, and Brandi Rhodes gave him a spear. Referee Earl Hebner got in Brandi’s face and tossed her out of the match. She argued with Hebner until Diamond Dallas Page walked down the ramp, picked Brandi up on his shoulder, and carried her out.

Dustin was busted open from the exposed turnbuckle spot, his face covered in blood. Blood was pouring from his face… pretty bad. Cody put his hand on the puddles of blood on the outside and wiped it on his chest as war paint. Blood everywhere… Dustin had trouble seeing from the blood pouring down into his eyes. He tried to punch Cody, but missed because he “couldn’t see.” Blood just dripping everywhere, Jesus… Puddles of blood all over the ring. What a mess.

Cody took off his weightlifting belt, but Hebner took it away from him. Cody hit an atomic drop, then grabbed the belt, pulled down Cody’s tights to expose his bare ass, and spanked him with the belt.

Sunset flip by Dustin for a near fall and the crowd was on their feet, chanting AEW. Dustin went for a top rope superplex and nailed it, landing really awkwardly. Feels like he could have easily shattered his leg. Cross Rhodes by Dustin for a near fall. Crazy match.

Dustin went for another Cross Rhodes, but Cody gave him a low blow, springboard kick, and a Cross Rhodes of his own… but Dustin kicked out! Blood everywhere… Cody’s body and hair was covered in Dustin’s blood, which was still pouring down his face.

Headbutt by Dustin and another Cross Rhodes… 1-2-NO. This is great. They exchanged punches, with the crowd cheering for Dustin and booing for Cody.

Cody took out Dustin with Din’s Fire, dropping him on his neck. Hebner started counting to 10, but Cody stopped him. He picked up Dustin and hit another Cross Rhodes… 1-2-3. Awesome match.

Winner: Cody (22:30)

Cody grabbed a mic after the match and said “You don’t get to retire here. I gotta ask you a favor, in front of God and the whole world, before AEW was a thing, before we filled this up, it was me, Kenny, Matt, Nick, Tony. I put my name on a match for Fight for the Fallen. It was myself and a partner of my choosing against the Young Bucks. I don’t need a partner. I don’t need a friend. I need my older brother.” Dustin got up and the two brothers hugged in an emotional moment, getting a huge pop.

In-Ring: Bret Hart Presents the AEW World Championship

Bret Hart was introduced and came out to introduce the AEW World Championship. Bret first introduced the winner of the Casino Battle Royal, Adam Page, who came out to the ring.

But MJF’s music hit and out he came, getting a big “asshole” chant from the crowd. Love MJF so much… MJF said “you people bought a ticket to see me so shut up.” MJF said “Wait Bret a fan’s coming in!” lol… MJF said that everyone’s booing him because they’re jealous, because they’re looking at the future of AEW. He called Page a horse, then said you know what happens when horses get a bum leg, you blow their stupid little brains out. MJF then called the crowd a bunch of fat white trash hicks. He said that we all know Page got a fluke victory, so why not relinquish his title shot to a real man. A man who’s going to be the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will… “actually scratch that, that catch phrase sucks. How about you relinquish your title shot to Maxwell Jacob Friedman, because I’m better than you, and you know it.” Page tried to attack him, but MJF escaped and walked back down the ramp. He said he doesn’t need this.

Jungle Boy then came out. MJF said that he’d love to wrestle a prepubescent boy, but not right now. Jimmy Havoc then came out. Havoc, Jungle Boy and Page surrounded MJF. MJF said “let’s talk about this like grown men,” then tried to punch Jungle Boy, but they all attacked him. Havoc and Jungle Boy chased him into the crowd.

In the ring, Bret Hart revealed the AEW title, which looked cool.

AAA World Tag Team Championship
The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Lucha Bros

This match was basically a series of nonstop high spots, as you would expect.

A few minutes in, all four men stood toe to toe in the ring and superkicked each other until they all were down, getting a big pop from the crowd.

Insane Canadian Destroyer by Pentagon on Matt Jackson on the apron, spiking his head hard… Jesus… Fenix jumped up onto Pentagon’s shoulders then jumped down onto the Bucks on the outside… Incredible action. This rules.

Penta Driver on Nick, then a top rope senton by Fenix for a near fall. Later, Matt Jackson went to the top for a suplex on Fenix, but twisted and dropped his face/neck on the top rope. Jeez…

Package piledriver assisted with a top rope stomp by the Bucks on Pentagon, then Nick hit a crazy flipping dive onto Fenix on the outside… but Pentagon kicked out. They went for a Meltzer Driver, but Fenix dropkicked Nick.

Pentagon then “snapped” Matt’s arm. The Lucha Bros were able to gain control for about a minute, but Matt fought back and picked up Fenix with one arm, selling his other injured arm. Nick then ran in from the outside and springboarded off the top for the Meltzer Driver… 1-2-3.

Absolutely incredible match with truly nonstop action. Just amazing.

Winners: The Young Bucks (24:55)

Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega

Chris Jericho’s entrance cycled through a few of the characters in his career, including Y2J and the List of Jericho. His theme would hit for a few seconds, “Jericho” was shown with the List of Jericho, then the arena went dark and his theme hit again, he was shown with his light up jacket from WWE, it went dark again, and he entered with his current black hat and spiked jacket character.

About a minute in, Omega went for a hurricanrana, but Jericho tried to counter into the Walls of Jericho, but Omega was able to escape. Jericho tossed Omega into the front row, then grabbed a camera and started shooting him. Omega got up and spit water onto the camera and Jericho’s face. Camera man got his camera back and there are water beads all over the screen. Hope he wipes it off…

Jericho busted Omega’s nose open with a punch to the face. Seems like his nose might be broken. Jericho went to the outside and grabbed a table, but Omega hit a top rope dive onto Jericho and the table. Omega landed pretty badly, hitting his back on the hard ramp. Omega put the table on top of Jericho, then hit a top rope springboard double stomp onto the table. Jeez. Blood was pouring from Omega’s nose into his mouth, all over his teeth.

Later, Jericho went for a Lionsault, but Omega got his knees up. V Trigger by Omega, then he went for the One Winged Angel, but Jericho escaped and nailed a Lionsault, then another, but Omega kicked out.

Jericho went for a Codebreaker, but Omega escaped and hit a V Trigger, nailing Jericho hard in the chin. Tiger Driver attempt by Omega, but Jericho reversed and backdropped Omega over the top through a table…

Jericho went for a superplex, but Omega fought him off. Omega jumped off the top but Jericho nailed him with a Codebreaker.

Later, Omega went for a V Trigger, but Jericho blocked it and locked on the Walls of Jericho! But Omega was able to escape and hit another V Trigger. He went for a One Winged Angel, but Jericho escaped again.

Jericho went for a Lionsault, jumping off the rope but Omega caught him on his shoulders, but Jericho escaped and hit a DDT, then a Codebreaker.

Omega got on his feet and Jericho hit his “new finisher,” the “Judas Effect,” a spinning back elbow to Omega’s head… and Omega was out. 1-2-3.

Winner: Chris Jericho (27:00)

Jericho will now face Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at a later date, to be announced.

Jericho got on the mic after the match and said “You wanna boo me after that you ungrateful jerks, huh?” Then “lighten up, marks.” He said that “Chris Jericho is AEW. This is not a company for the fans. This is a company for me.” He said that that the reason for the Double or Nothing sell out and TV deal was him. He then demanded a thank you from Kenny Omega and all of the fans.

Suddenly, JON MOXLEY (DEAN AMBROSE) ran in from the crowd and got into the ring to a huge pop… He kicked Jericho in the stomach… Dirty Deeds! Then gave Dirty Deeds to the referee for good measure.

Moxley picked Kenny Omega up by his hair, kicked him in the stomach and went for Dirty Deeds, but Omega fought back and tackled him out of the ring. Omega and Moxley brawled into the crowd and through the arena as the crowd chanted “AEW.” Moxley climbed up onto the giant poker chips that were part of the set and Omega followed him… Dirty Deeds onto the poker chips! He then picked Omega up onto his shoulders and tossed him off of the poker chips, crashing down onto the stage below! Moxley stood on the chips as the crowd chanted “Moxley” and the show went off the air…

Amazing show…
