WWE announced during last night’s Money in the Bank PPV that Mick Foley will introduce a brand new championship tonight on Raw.
That title will possibly be called the “Wild Card Championship,” according to Dave Meltzer. The idea is that it can be defended on any brand “at any time.” What exactly “any time” means remains to be seen. Maybe it’ll be similar to the Hardcore title’s “24/7” rule where anyone can challenge the champion at any time or place as long as a referee is present.
The idea for a Wild Card title was pitched at some point recently and Vince McMahon loved the idea, Meltzer says.
