The official cause of death for the late Silver King reportedly was a heart attack, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue that a medical examiner in London recently released the official postmortem report on Silver King, which confirmed earlier reports of King’s death likely being due to a heart attack. King suffered the fatal heart attack during his match against Juventud Guerrera at an event for Lucha Libre Worldwide on May 11th in London, England.
King’s son, Ulises Gonzalez, held a press conference on May 19th denying Juventud Guerrera’s claims of King having an unknown medical issue prior to their match and instead stated his father had a clean bill of health. Gonzalez also stated that he fully believes his father would still be alive had people acted faster to administer medical treatment.
