During a media call today, Triple H was asked about the official status of Tyler Breeze and if he’s now a full-time member of the NXT roster.
Triple H responded, “For me, Tyler Breeze is in NXT right now. I’m thrilled to have him here, I think he’s one of the greatest talents out there and I’m thrilled to have him back.”
Breeze will be wrestling Velveteen Dream for the NXT North American title at NXT TakeOver XXV this Saturday. Dream was originally in a feud with Dominic Dijakovic and was probably going to face him at TakeOver, but Dijakovic underwent surgery for a torn meniscus earlier this month and Breeze was plugged into his spot.
The key words Triple H used were “right now,” and Breeze could easily go back to the main roster, especially when Fandango finally returns. Fandango suffered a torn labrum in July and has been out since. In early December, he was already training for his return at the Performance Center. That was almost seven months ago, so it’s not clear if he’s still not cleared from injury or if he’s just stuck in WWE creative limbo.
Beautiful video package π @WWENXT He isnβt wrong…I knew what would happen when I left nxt…Iβd prove that not only can I deliver in the ring… but also make people laugh for 8 months without stepping foot in one… 4 years has been too long… time to kick ass again
