AEW: Television Update, Fyter Fest & Fight for the Fallen Updates, Hikaru Shida, Riho, Omega

AEW Television Status Update

All Elite Wrestling is currently in negotiations with a Canadian-based television network for a potential television deal in the country, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer also reported that it will “100%” be either Tuesday or Wednesday nights for AEW’s weekly TV show and TNT is weighing their options right now.

International TV deals reportedly can’t be finalized until the day of the week is decided on by TNT.

Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fallen PPV Updates

ITV announced that AEW’s next two events, Fyter Fest and Fight for the Fall, will air live in the United Kingdom and Ireland on FITE TV as part of a collaboration with ITV Box Office. Each event will be priced at £8.99 in the U.K. and €9.99 in Ireland.

AEW announced that law firm Farah & Farah will be the official sponsor of their Fight for the Fallen event on July 13th in Jacksonville, Florida.

Hikaru Shida and Riho AEW Status Updates

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the official reason why Hikaru Shida will not be making an appearance at next month’s Fyter Fest is due to her current commitments in Japan. Fyter Fest takes place during the middle of her currently scheduled work in Japan and as a result, she will not be able to appear at the event.

Meltzer also reported that Riho is currently in the process of finishing up her commitments in Japan and moving to the United States to work full time in AEW.
