AEW has signed Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez to a deal.
Mendez did commentary during Fyter Fest in June. It’s not clear yet what his role will be.

As mentioned, AEW also signed Tony Schiavone earlier this week.
Mike Tenay
AEW was talking to Mike Tenay at one point, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but nothing appears to have come of it yet.
WWE also made an offer to Tenay a couple of years ago, but no deal was made. He was apparently the original person who was supposed to be the General Manager of 205 Live, which is now played by Drake Maverick.
Tenay, a former WCW and TNA play by play man, announced that he was retired from pro wrestling in 2016.
