Major League Wrestling News & Notes

Major League Wrestling announced that they will be holding an Opera Cup tournament on December 5th in Queens, New York. This tournament is based on a historical tournament of the same name, which was held annually during the first half of the 1900s in the Northeastern United States.

MLW reportedly is currently planning for Kevin Von Erich to make a special appearance at their first ever event in Dallas, Texas on September 7th, according to PWInsider.

The company also announced that most of their referees and several of their backstage personnel have recently completely their CPR certification training. The decision for MLW referees to receive life saving training was influenced by the tragic death of Silver King, who passed away during a wrestling match in May of this year.
