Jake Hager’s MMA Fight Ends in No Contest After Low Blow

Jake Hager’s MMA fight against Anthony Garrett tonight at Bellator 231 ended in “no contest” after an unintentional low blow by Hager left Garrett unable to continue.

At 1:56 into round 1, Hager hit Garrett with a knee to the groin and Garrett went down, writhing in pain. He was given some time to attempt to recover, but was unable to and the fight was stopped and ruled a no contest due to an unintentional foul by Hager.

Hager hit Garrett with a couple of other knees to the groin earlier in the fight and was given a warning about a minute prior to the one that left his opponent unable to continue. Hager looked visibly frustrated after the decision.

Hager is still undefeated at 2-0.
