WWE decided against broadcasting a new 205 Live episode after the debut of SmackDown on Friday.
Two matches (Tony Nese vs. Humberto Carrillo and Brian Kendrick vs. Akira Tozawa) were announced for the show earlier in the day on WWE’s website and social media, but were later removed. The wrestlers were brought to the show and planned to wrestle, but a late decision canceled it.
WWE made the decision because they wanted to focus on the FOX SmackDown debut, according to PWInsider, who added that the show is expected to air normally after SmackDown next Friday.
205 Live’s move to Fridays may only be temporary and its future is still reportedly up in the air.
