JBL Reportedly Being Inducted Into WWE’s Hall of Fame

Former WWE wrestler John Bradshaw Layfield, JBL, reportedly is expected to be inducted as a member of this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class, according to Wrestling Inc.

WrestlingInc’s Raj Giri reported that his WWE sources told him that JBL’s name was among the list of inductees currently planned for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class.

JBL’s active wrestling career spanned from 1992 to 2009 with sporadic in-ring appearances afterwards until the 2014 Royal Rumble. Some of JBL’s notable accolades included becoming a one-time WWE Champion, one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, and three-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Faarooq.

Besides his in-ring career, JBL was a color commentator for SmackDown from 2006-2007 and for RAW and SmackDown from 2012-2017. JBL also had a brief stint as the General Manager of NXT from 2013-2014.

At the moment, the New World Order (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan, & Sean Waltman) and Batista are the only confirmed inductees for this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class. Jushin Thunder Liger, The Bella Twins (Nikki & Brie Bella), and “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith have been rumored to be joining this year’s class.
