The main roster wrestlers who were released on Wednesday have 90-day non-compete clauses, meaning that they won’t be able to sign anywhere else until July 15, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
NXT wrestlers who are released will have 30-day non-compete clauses.
Non-compete clause or not, WWE chose the worst possible time for the releases and with so many other promotions not currently running regularly, several wrestlers may have a hard time getting work in the business for a while.
