WWE: Baltimore No Longer Hosting Money in the Bank, UK Tour & NXT UK Tapings Cancelled

Money in the Bank 2020 No Longer Taking Place in Baltimore

The host venue of next month’s WWE Money in the Bank event, Royal Farms Arena, announced that they will no longer be hosting the event due to coronavirus-related issues. The venue also announced that refunds for the event are currently available to all those who request one.

The PPV will likely take place at the WWE Performance Center instead.

WWE MONEY IN THE BANK PPV *CANCELED* The WWE Money in the Bank event originally scheduled for Sunday, May 10 in Baltimore has been cancelled. Refunds are available at all points of purchase.

While the event will no longer be taking place at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, WWE is still planning to go ahead with the event on May 10th and likely at their Performance Center.


SmackDown Brand UK Tour Postponed to October

WWE announced that next month’s SmackDown brand tour of the United Kingdom has been postponed to this October with the exception of one show. The tour had been originally scheduled to take place from May 3-8 with events to be held in Scotland, England, and Wales.

  • October 4th – WWE Live event in Birmingham, England (originally May 5th)
  • October 5th – WWE Live event in Cardiff, Wales (originally May 6th)
  • October 6th – WWE Live event in Sheffield, England (originally May 7th)
  • October 7th – WWE Live event in Glasgow, Scotland (originally May 3rd)
  • October 9th – Friday Night SmackDown taping at the O2 Arena in London, Emgland (originally May 8th)
  • April 30, 2021 – WWE Live event in Newcastle, England (originally May 4th)

    NXT UK Tapings for May and June Cancelled, Updated Status of Weekly Series

    WWE announced that they have cancelled next month’s scheduled taping for their NXT UK brand due to coronavirus-related reasons. The tapings had been originally scheduled to take place on May 1st and May 2nd as part of the company’s tour of the United Kingdom that month.

    NXT UK’s planned television tapings for the month of June have also been cancelled due to this year’s Download Music Festival at the Donington Park on June 12-14 in Leicestershire, England no longer taking place due to coronavirus issues.

    As a result, NXT UK announced that they will be airing “Best Of” specials in place of their usual weekly episodes starting with this past Thursday’s episode on the WWE Network.
