In an interview with RDS.ca last week, Kevin Owens revealed that he suffered an ankle injury at some point during his match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
During the interview, which was posted on April 22, he said that he believed that the ankle was either sprained or slightly fractured and that he’d be going in for x-rays that week. There’s been no word yet on the results of those x-rays.
During the same interview, Owens also said that he was staying home due to the coronavirus.
“The great thing about WWE is that it doesn’t require us to be there if we don’t want to,” he said. “This is also why in the last two weeks I have not been present, because I preferred to be at home with my family.”
Owens last wrestled at WrestleMania.
His friend Sami Zayn has also chosen to stay home due to the coronavirus, exercising the option that WWE reportedly gave all of the wrestlers on their roster.
