WWE may be bringing back another version of the “Wild Card” rule as early as tonight on Raw.
According to a report by Post Wrestling, WWE will introduce a new rule tonight on Raw that will allow “some crossover” between wrestlers on Raw and SmackDown. The rule was said to be “a simpler version” of last year’s Wild Card rule, though the specifics are not known right now.
The report said that the talent crossovers are expected to be kept at a minimum.
The idea reportedly came at the request of WWE’s TV network partners at a time when WWE is seeing all-time low ratings.
Intercontinental Title
The status of the Intercontinental Championship is also expected to be addressed this week, Post Wrestling says.
The current champ, Sami Zayn, has been off of TV in recent weeks by his choice because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Zayn last appeared at WrestleMania, successfully defending the title against Daniel Bryan.
