More on WWE’s Firing of Former SmackDown Lead Writer

As noted before, former SmackDown lead writer Chris DeJoseph was let go by WWE last month due to issues involving “unprofessional behavior” during company meetings.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there are currently different versions of what led to DeJoseph’s firing from the company, but the most consistent story is DeJoseph was involved in a Zoom conference call with Stan Stansky, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Creative Services, and Kevin Moore, WWE’s Senior Vice President of E-Commerce and Venue Merchandise. DeJoseph reportedly said several things that “he shouldn’t have said” which led to Vince McMahon finding out and firing him afterwards.
