Limited Fans Reportedly Were Allowed at AEW Fyter Fest & Guest Wrestlers in Attendance

AEW reportedly allowed a limited number of fans to attend this past Wednesday’s Fyter Fest special, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Ryan Satin reported that someone claiming to have attended the taping posted a now deleted thread on Reddit stating that they were in attendance, but were not someone associated with anyone in the company. Satin said that he confirmed this with an AEW source, but the outside fans allowed in were friends and family of local Daily’s Place and Jacksonville Jaguars sponsors, who also attended the taping.

These outside fans reportedly were not given COVID-19 tests but were given temperature checks and forms to fill out before being allowed inside the venue. Satin reported that these fans were only allowed to sit in the upper bowl of the venue to ensure a large enough buffer zone existed between them and everyone else near the ringside area. Everyone who was located in the lower bowl of the arena reportedly was given proper CODVID-19 testing prior to being allowed in the venue.

It was also reported that those in the upper bowl area were also given seating that was spaced out father than current CDC recommendations and were required to wear masks at all times.

Besides outside fans, a few non-AEW associated wrestlers were among the crowd during night one of Fyter Fest. Post Wrestling’s Andrew Johnson reported that indie wrestler Faye Jackson and MLW wrestler Brian Pillman Jr. were among those in attendance. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that former Impact wrestler Diamante was also in attendance.
