ROH Reportedly Pulls Talent from Upcoming Tapings Over COVID-19 Concerns

Ring of Honor reportedly have recently pulled several talent from their upcoming television tapings due to COVID-19 precautions, according to Post Wrestling.

John Pollock reported that ROH officials made the decision to pull all of their talent who had worked at Game Changer Wrestling’s The Collective events last weekend as a precautionary measure for the coronavirus. The reason for this decision was due to indie wrestler Dan The Dad revealing on Twitter that he recently tested positive for the coronavirus and had worked at GCW’s events. Several other indie talents who worked at GCW’s events stated on Twitter that they have taken COVID-19 tests with AC Mack and Cabana Man Dan revealing that their results came back positive.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that ROH officials rewrote their plans for their upcoming television tapings following the company’s decision to send certain talent home as a precaution.


Full Card for Tonight’s NJPW Strong NEVER Themed Show

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced the full card for Night 1 of their NEVER branded shows for NJPW Strong, which airs later tonight on New Japan World starting at 10:00PM EST.

Major League Wrestling reportedly currently has plans to hold an event on December 5th at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, according to PWInsider.

MLW also reportedly will be holding empty arena television tapings from October 18th to October 20th in Florida, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Indie promotion St. Louis Anarchy recently announced that they have postponed their October 16th event in due to coronavirus precautions. The company stated that the reason is due to one of their talents recently tested positive for the coronavirus after working at GCW’s The Collective events last weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana.

During a recent episode of The Masks, Mats, and Mayhem podcast with Konnan as the guest, Konnan revealed that Lucha Libre AAA officials currently have plans for Kenny Omega to defend his AAA Mega Championship against Laredo Kid. Konnan also stated that AAA officials have no issues with the idea of Omega defending his title on AEW shows.

Dragon Lee’s current contract with Ring of Honor reportedly expires on December 1st, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Mexican wrestler Blue Demon Jr. recently revealed on Instagram that he is currently filming a new television show for Disney.
