WWE Considering News Plans for Otis & Money in the Bank Briefcase

Otis has been the holder of the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase since winning the Men’s ladder match at this past May’s Money in the Bank event.

WrestleVotes reported that WWE officials have recently been considering new ideas for a change in direction for Otis’ Money in the Bank briefcase. These new ideas revolve around removing the briefcase from Otis and giving it to someone else instead so that the Money in the Bank briefcase can become a major storyline focus again.

The biggest roadblock to these potential plans reportedly is Vince McMahon who was stated to still be the biggest supporter of Otis and him as the holder of the briefcase within the company.

FOX to Air New WWE Special This Weekend

WWE announced that FOX will be airing a new WWE-themed television special on their network on October 11th.

This special is titled WWE’S Best Moments of 2020 and will feature a collection of this year’s best matches and moments from The Undertaker, Roman Reigns, Drew McIntrye, John Cena, Asuka, and other notable WWE Superstars.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that this upcoming special will be one hour in length and will air starting at 4:30PM EST. A replay of the special reportedly will be airing on FS1 on October 14th at 4:00AM EST.

Angel Garza & Andrade Tag Team Status Update

As noted before, Angel Garza has been out of action for WWE since suffering a quadriceps injury at last month’s Clash of Champions event. Prior to his injury, Garza had been involved in an on-going storyline teasing the break up of his tag team partnership with Andrade, which led to Zelina Vega leaving the group.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that WWE currently has no plans for Garza and Andrade to continue working as a tag team going forward.

WWE Files Several New Trademarks

WWE recently filed several new trademarks to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Trademarks for “Aoife Valkyrie“, “Amir Jordan“, “Amale“, “A-Kid“, “Kay Lee Ray“, and “Austin 3:16” were filed on October 1st for wrestling and entertainment-related purposes.
