Erick Rowan Appears on AEW Dynamite Brodie Lee Tribute Show

Erick Rowan, the former tag team partner of Brodie Lee / Luke Harper in WWE, appeared live on tonight’s AEW Dynamite Brodie Lee tribute show.

During a six man tag match with Hangman Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds taking on MJF, Santana & Ortiz, MJF distracted the referee while Wardlow entered the ring to attack Reynolds. Suddenly, Rowan ran down the entrance ramp and nailed Wardlow with his Iron Claw Slam, then pounded on him to the back.

Chris Jericho, who was on commentary, called him by his WWE name, Erick Rowan, but Excalibur “corrected” him, calling him “Erick Redbeard,” which is the name he’s been using since being released by WWE in April.

After Page, Silver and Reynolds won the match, Rowan returned to the ring to emotionally celebrate with them, hugging them, crying and holding up a sign that said, “Goodbye for now, my brother. See you down the road.”

You can watch below, including the excellent match and great moment when Brodie Lee’s son Brodie Jr. nailed an insanely heelish MJF with a kendo stick:

Rowan has officially wrestled in just one match since his WWE release, according to Cagematch, losing to Fred Rosser (formerly Darren Young) at the UWN Primetime Live #8 PPV on November 3.

It’s not clear yet if this was just a one time appearance in AEW.
