In-Ring: The Miz, John Morrison, AJ Styles, Sheamus

The Miz is seated in the ring and puts over his reality show “Miz & Mrs.” Miz says it’s time to read The Nightmare Before TLC. Miz has a big goofy children’s book with AJ Styles on the cover. Miz snaps his fingers and AJ Styles is shown in a spotlight. Styles wants Omos shown and snaps his fingers, showing Omos at ringside, but Miz has the lights turned off. “Drew McIntyre” is then shown, which is John Morrison. Styles and “McIntyre” have a fake play fight ending with Styles stabbing “McIntyre” with a plastic sword. Styles climbs a ladder in the ring, and Miz reads a part of the story about him cashing in Money in the Bank on Styles. Styles isn’t happy about that.

Sheamus comes out to the ring and says he thought he saw it all in WWE. Sheamus wants a fight. Styles throws a Christmas tree into Sheamus’ face. Sheamus responds by throwing a giant gift box at Styles.

AJ Styles vs. Sheamus

The bell rings and Sheamus unloads on Styles with right hands at the sound of the bell before hitting a scoop slam for a two count. Sheamus applies a cobra clutch, but Styles fights up. Sheamus powers him to the corner and uppercuts him. Sheamus stomps him down, but Styles rolls out of the ring. Sheamus chases him back in the ring, and Styles attacks him coming back in. Styles has a whip to the corner reversed, and he hits the turnbuckles sternum first. Sheamus chokes Styles with his boot before digging a knee into the face. Sheamus uppercuts him in the corner a few times before Styles kicks him in the legs a few times. Sheamus shoves him away, but Styles uppercuts him. Sheamus reverse a whip, but Styles backflips over him. Styles charges, but Sheamus connects with a back body drop. Sheamus stretches him out. Styles gets to the ropes and pulls Sheamus out of the ring. Styles attacks Sheamus as he gets on the apron and ties him up in the ropes. Styles connects with a running knee to the head that knocks Sheamus back to ringside. Sheamus gets back on the apron, so Styles brings him in the ring for a suplex. Sheamus counters with a release suplex. Sheamus grabs Styles and repeats the move. Sheamus tries it for a third time, but Styles blocks it. Styles hits a throat thrust and dropkicks him out of the ring. Sheamus lands in front of Omos. Sheamus avoids an attack by Styles and puts him in the powerbomb position. Omos easily pulls Styles off Sheamus’ shoulders in full view of the referee. No disqualification is issued.

We come back from the break to see Styles attacking the left leg of Sheamus. Styles stretches it before putting it on the ropes and attacking. Sheamus strikes him back, but Styles quickly kicks him in the leg to take him down. Sheamus soon responds with an Irish Curse Backbreaker. Sheamus pulls himself to his feet and hits a pair of running hammers. Sheamus connects with a fallaway slam, but he can’t follow up as the knee is too hurt. Styles boots him back, but Sheamus quickly responds with a knee strike for a near fall.

Styles pulls Sheamus out of the ring, and he lands in front of Omos again. Sheamus gets on the apron and punches Styles back before doing the 10 Beats of the Bodhrán. Sheamus stares at Omos before going to the top rope. Sheamus connects with a diving clothesline for a near fall. Sheamus takes a moment to recover before lifting Styles up. Styles elbows Sheamus in the face and applies a Calf Crusher. Sheamus screams in pain, but he eventually makes it to the bottom rope. Styles goes for a Styles Clash, but Sheamus counters into White Noise for a near fall.

Sheamus soon lifts Styles up and climbs the ropes, but Styles slides off and kicks him in the back of the legs to knock him to the canvas. Styles then rolls Sheamus up for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: AJ Styles

Styles talks a little trash to Sheamus from ringside when Sheamus grabs him. Omos quickly pulls Sheamus out of the ring and ties his legs up in the ropes. Sheamus is in a sort of tree of woe facing ringside. Styles then unloads on him with chair shots to the body. Referees run down to get Styles back. Styles returns and hits Sheamus some more. Styles tells Sheamus to save a spot in the hospital for his friend Drew McIntyre.


Backstage: The Hurt Business

Footage is shown of Bobby Lashley beating Jeff Hardy last week on Raw. Riddle got involved, but Lashley got away.

The Hurt Business is backstage and they bully a stagehand eating “Bronuts.” Bobby Lashley pours milk over the man’s head. Sarah Schreiber comes up to them. MVP says they’ll give the clowns they’re facing a problem. Lashley says they’re going to their own world of hurt.


Backstage: Jeff Hardy, The New Day, Riddle

Jeff Hardy is talking with The New Day backstage when Riddle walks up to them. Riddle annoys them with silliness, but he offers to help them at ringside. Kofi Kingston says they support anything to upset the “Butt Hurt” Business.


Jeff Hardy & The New Day vs. The Hurt Business (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander)

Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring with Riddle by his side. Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day soon follow after. They’ll face The Hurt Business, next.

Bobby Lashley starts against Xavier Woods. Lashley goes for the Hurt Lock as the first move, but Woods gets out. Woods applies a side headlock, but Lashley easily whips him off and connects with a shoulder block. Lashley whips him to the corner and catches him trying a slingshot. Woods gets down and kicks him in the midsection. Kofi Kingston tags in and charges Lashley, but Lashley press slams him. Cedric Alexander tags in and grabs Kingston. Alexander sends him into the ropes, but Kingston counters a hip toss into a monkey flip. Kingston wrenches the arm and tags Jeff Hardy in. Hardy kicks Alexander and puts him in the corner. Alexander fights out and kicks Hardy away. Shelton Benjamin attacks Hardy and punches him down in the corner. Hardy puts the brakes on a whip and hits a slingshot neckbreaker. Benjamin gets out of a Twist of Fate, but Hardy puts him on the apron before knocking him to the floor. Hardy then knocks Lashley off the apron. Kingston gets Alexander out of the ring. Woods plays the trombone while Kingston, Hardy, and Riddle dance.

We come back from the break to see Kingston and Benjamin brawling. Kingston soon hits a leaping clothesline followed by a Boom Drop. Alexander distracts the referee while Kingston sets up for Trouble in Paradise. Lashley easily pulls Kingston out of the ring hard. Benjamin gets Kingston in the ring for a two count. Lashley tags in and talks trash before hitting a snap suplex. Alexander tags in and kicks Kingston in the spine. Alexander slams Kingston down before applying a chin lock. Kingston fights up, but Alexander pulls him down by the hair. Alexander covers for a two count. Benjamin tags in and stomps Kingston. Benjamin attacks Kingston and stretches him on the ropes. Benjamin applies a front facelock before tagging Lashley in. Lashley shoulders away at Kingston before taunting Woods and Hardy. Lashley powers Kingston to the corner and elbows him in the head a few times. Lashley shoulders Kingston and tags Benjamin in. Benjamin attacks before tagging Alexander in. They double stomp Kingston down. Benjamin hits a snapmare and applies a chin lock. Kingston gets out and connects with a leaping stomp.

Hardy tags in and takes Benjamin down. Hardy punches Benjamin before running him over with a running forearm. Hardy hits an inverted atomic drop, double leg drop to the midsection, low dropkick, and a splash for a two count. Alexander blind tags in and knees Hardy in the face for a near fall. Alexander covers again for a two count. Alexander punches away at Hardy, but Hardy comes back with a side Russian Leg Sweep. Hardy follows up with a double leg drop compactor, but it’s broken up. Everyone runs in and gets cleared from the ring. Kingston hits Benjamin with a trust fall. Lashley catches Woods and slams him into the barricade before taking Kingston down. Hardy baseball slides Lashley. Alexander rolls Hardy up a few times to no avail. Lashley blind tags in as Alexander hits a Twist of Fate. Lashley grabs Hardy, but Hardy elbows him. Hardy then sidesteps Lashley to send him shoulder-first into the ring post. Hardy goes to the top rope, but Alexander knocks him down. Lashley applies the Hurt Lock for the win.

Lana vs. Nia Jax

Backstage, Raw Women’s Champion Asuka says she is proud to be Lana’s partner because of her bravery going out to face Nia Jax right now. Asuka convinces her she can beat Jax.

After commercials in the ring, Lana and Jax lock up, and Jax immediately powers her down. Jax plays around with her before going for a press slam. Lana counters into a hurricanrana and goes to the top rope. Jax head-butts her and looks at Lana with disgust. Jax goes for a super Samoa Drop, but Lana slides down and goes for a powerbomb. Jax holds on, so Lana kicks her legs out and double stomps her to the mat. Lana rolls her up for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Lana

Shayna Baszler attacks Asuka backstage. Jax then attacks Lana from behind. Jax drops a leg on Lana. Baszler runs down and stomps Lana’s arm. Baszler viciously attacks the ankle before Jax drops some legs on the injured leg. Asuka runs down and clears the ring of Jax and Baszler.


In-Ring: Elias, Jaxson Ryker, R-Truth, Gran Metalik, Akira Tozawa

“Ladies and gentlemen… Elias.”

Elias is in the ring and introduces Jaxson Ryker. Elias talks about being electrocuted during the Symphony of Destruction match. Elias had visions of Ryker during the electrocution. Ryker knows the universal truth that WWE stands for Walk With Elias. Ryker says Elias’ music has changed him. Ryker is reformed by the Universal Truth. For too long, Elias has been attacked. Ryker is here to stop that.

Elias has a song for Lana, but WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth immediately interrupts. R-Truth apologizes for interrupting him on Main Event last week. Elias says he’s interrupting him right now. What does he have to say? R-Truth says he doesn’t want to interrupt. Elias starts to play, but all the miscreants looking for the 24/7 Title run down. Ryker takes down Gran Metalik and press slams Akira Tozawa out of the ring. Ryker then hits Metalik with a sit-out bomb. R-Truth runs off. Elias strums his guitar as the segment ends.


2-on-1 Handicap Match
Keith Lee vs. The Miz & John Morrison

The Miz and John Morrison double-team Lee at the start of the match. Lee fights back and hits Miz with a spin kick. Lee hits a belly-to-belly overhead suplex before giving Morrison a Pounce over the top rope.

We come back from the break to see Miz and Morrison hitting a cavalcade of avalanches, corner clotheslines, takedowns, and splashes. They then put Lee in a double submission, but he won’t quit. They go for a double-team suplex, but Lee counters with a double suplex. Lee gets fired up and takes them down before throwing Morrison into Miz. Lee sets up for a Spirit Bomb on Morrison, but Morrison tries to get out. Lee swings Morrison into Miz. Miz and Morrison kick and chop block Lee before both getting on top of him and pinning him.

In-Ring: Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton

Bray Wyatt comes to the ring wearing a Fiend ugly Christmas sweater. Wyatt gets in the ring, and the puppets are shown at ringside. Wyatt greets the fireflies. It’s nice to see the smiling faces in the WWE ThunderDome. Wyatt has an apology to make. Wyatt apologizes to Randy Orton. They were having a good time, but things got out of hand. It was a giant misunderstanding. HE has a sick, twisted, deranged mind of his own. There will be no fun and games at TLC. All there will be is sadness and pain. That sounds splendid.

Wyatt decided to celebrate. Since TLC will be no laughing matter, tonight is. In honor of their field trip, he’s prepared some jokes specifically for the Viper. They are going to be “hiss-terical.”

“What do snakes use to clean their car windows? Windshield Vipers.” Wyatt lets out an exaggerated laugh and the puppets laugh along too.

Randy Orton appears on the big screen. Orton says when his time comes, he’d tell the devil the most evil son of a bitch has come home. Wyatt gave him a chance. When Orton hit him with an RKO, something changed and HE appeared… out of nowhere. For the first time in a very long time, Orton was outmaneuvered by HIM. That won’t happen this Sunday at TLC… or tonight. Orton knows how much Wyatt loves to play games. Wyatt can’t help himself. Orton tells him to extend his field trip and pay him a visit. Orton wants to play a game of hide and seek. Wyatt looks giddy. Wyatt can’t resist games, so he accepts Randy’s challenge. Orton tells Wyatt to come find him. Wyatt shouts that the games are beginning.


MACE vs. Ricochet

Mustafa Ali is on commentary with T-Bar, Slapjack, and Reckoning flanking him.

Mace quickly grabs Ricochet and powers him to the corner before hitting a side kick for a near fall. Mace applies a rest hold before clubbing him. Ricochet avoids an avalanche in the corner and connects with a missile dropkick. Ricochet takes Mace down with a springboard and a standing shooting star press for a two count. Ricochet goes to the top rope when Slapjack interrupts. Ricochet knocks him away before knocking T-Bar off the apron. Mace hits a double hand choke bomb for a near fall. Ali shouts for Mace to shut him down. Mace slams Ricochet for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Mace

Ali says this won’t end until Ricochet joins RETRIBUTION.


Backstage: Bray Wyatt, Riddle

Bray Wyatt is looking for Randy Orton when he bumps into Riddle. Riddle calls him bro, but Wyatt says his name is Bray. Riddle tells him to use more “bro-nouns” on his show. Wyatt walks off. Ramblin’ Rabbit appears to Riddle, and Riddle has him sign a carrot.


Shayna Baszler vs. Dana Brooke

Lana cannot complete at WWE TLC following the attack, so Asuka needs a new partner.

Baszler takes Brooke down, but Brook soon fights back. Jax causes a blatant disqualification.

Winner by Disqualification: Dana Brooke

Jax and Baszler double-team Brooke until Mandy Rose makes her return with a kendo stick. Baszler eventually blocks a shot, but Asuka attacks from behind.


Backstage: R-Truth, Bray Wyatt

R-Truth is talking with Huskus backstage. He’s looking for a PlayStation 6 since the PS5 is sold out. Bray Wyatt comes up and says he was looking for Huskus. R-Truth wonders if they’re related.


Backstage: Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton

After commercials, Bray Wyatt is looking for Randy Orton backstage when he sees his old Florida Man rocking chair. Wyatt sits down in it. Randy Orton sneaks up from behind and attacks Wyatt. Orton beats him into a crate and closes the lid. Orton pours gasoline on it… and lights the box with Bray Wyatt in it on fire. Orton admires what he did until The Fiend pops out and applies the Mandible Claw to take Orton out.


MVP vs. Riddle

MVP sidesteps a knee strike and punches Riddle down. MVP knees him in the midsection before forearming him in the face a few times. Riddle avoids a Drive By boot in the corner and hits a Final Flash. Riddle connects with a Floating Bro for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Riddle

Bobby Lashley angrily runs down, but Riddle immediately escapes. Riddle is holding his “Bronuts.”


In-Ring: AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, The Miz, John Morrison

Tom Phillips is in the ring for the Championship Ascension Ceremony. AJ Styles is out first with Omos. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is out next. Phillips says the title will be raised and then they can talk. They talk first instead. Styles says that the whole 19 year journey will be for nothing when he takes the title.

McIntyre talks for a bit about how this was a dream match for him to face AJ Styles. It’s something people have wanted to see for years. McIntyre is going to remain WWE Champion.

The WWE Championship ascends above their heads. Styles asks what if McIntyre isn’t just facing him. Miz and Morrison knock a ladder into McIntyre. They triple-team him until McIntyre fights back. McIntyre hits Miz with a Claymore Kick before hitting Morrison with a Claymore Kick while he was holding a ladder. Styles takes a Glasgow Kiss. Omos distracts McIntyre, and Styles hits a Phenomenal Forearm. Styles puts McIntyre through a table with a diving elbow off the ladder. Styles climbs the ladder and grabs the WWE Championship to end the show.
