In-Ring: Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman

Roman’s music hits and out comes the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns along with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso to the ring. Roman says he’s not big on the past, not a fan of recapping but if you didn’t see the Rumble, he beat Kevin Owens. Roman looks at Jey and tells him like he said he would because he’s a man of his word. But enough about the past, it’s the future. Roman says the future is Edge.

Reigns says if you win the Rumble match, you get a first class ticket to the main event of WrestleMania. And last time he checked, who’s the main event around here? Heyman points to Roman as Roman says that’s right. Which brings him to his issues. Him, the tribal chief, the head of the table, the best of the best, the WWE Champion, the main event. Why are you going to Raw or waste your time on NXT when you know you will come to SmackDown. Roman’s show. Edge should beg him, sell him as to why he should allow him on the island of relevancy.

Roman says his second issue is why is he out here first? Where is Edge? You make the mistake of disrespecting him all week but him being a nice guy, he will let that slide. But you’re going to make him wait? You’re going to make the head of the table wait? Heyman tells Roman that Edge is here Roman tells him to get Edge out here.

Heyman tells the WWE staff to put on the pyro and music for Edge as Heyman is informed something by a WWE staff member. Heyman speaks to Roman and Roman is not happy. Reigns says Edge isn’t here. Edge must think he’s a fool. Does he look like a fool? Does he look like someone who wants to play games? Why would Edge play games as Roman slightly snaps.

Reigns says the last man that played games with him his name was Kevin Owens and he’s no longer here anymore because he whooped his ass. Roman says Owens is history, gone. Roman tells Edge he has something to tell him nicely. He tells Edge that Edge will give him his decision by the end of the night. Roman drops the microphone and leaves the ring.


Dominik Mysterio vs. King Corbin

Baron Corbin attacks Dominik and Rey from behind as they make their way down to the ring. Corbin throws Rey off the stage as he beats up on Dominik. Corbin makes his way down to the ring.

Back from commercial and the referee rings the bell. Corbin goes for a clothesline but Dominik ducks and hits him with a clothesline. Dominik goes for the cover but Corbin kicks out. Corbin grabs Dominik’s leg, picks him up and slams him. Right hands by Corbin.

Rey Mysterio is getting treated by WWE officials near the stage. Back in the ring, Corbin slams Dominik into the turnbuckle as Dominik falls to the mat. Corbin goes for the cover but Dominik kicks out. Corbin with a sleeper arm bar but Dominik fights out of it. Dominik runs to the ropes and a back elbow by Corbin knocks him down. Corbin working on Dominik’s left arm but Dominik gets to his feet and right hands but Corbin throws him to the ropes. A kick by Dominik as Corbin runs towards Dominik but Dominik lowers the top rope and Corbin to the outside. Dominik jumps off the top rope and onto Corbin on the outside. Rey slowly starts to walk down to the ring.

Back from commercial, Corbin goes for a vertical suplex but Dominik with knees to the face and a neck breaker takes Corbin down. Dominik goes for the cover but Corbin kicks out. Both men back to their feet, Corbin runs towards Dominik but Dominik ducks and Corbin on the second rope. Dominik runs for the 619 but Corbin catches him with the Deep Six. He goes for the cover but Dominik kicks out. Dominik in the corner, Corbin goes for an elbow but Dominik moves out of the way. Dominik on the top rope, Corbin goes for a clothesline but Dominik throws him to the outside.

Dominik in the ring with a suicide dive onto the outside. Rey under the ring as he grabs Corbin’s leg but the referee doesn’t see him. Dominik with the 619 onto Corbin. He goes on the top rope and lands the frog splash. Dominik goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Dominik Mysterio


Backstage: Big E

Kayla is backstage with Big E as he pops up on screen. She asks him about his match later tonight. Big E says his entire life he had to fight and that’s what he signed up for when he won the Intercontinental Championship. Much like Lady Liberty, bring your hungry, your tired and poor. Because tonight, we are going to fight. He says they ain’t ready, Kayla.


Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro

The bell rings and we are under way. Bryan with kicks onto Cesaro but Cesaro with right hands. Both men exchange uppercuts and a drop toe hold by Bryan followed by a kick onto Cesaro’s arm. Cesaro runs towards Bryan but he’s throws to the outside. Bryan on the top rope and a cross body onto Cesaro on the outside of the ring. Bryan throws Cesaro back in and climbs the top rope. Bryan with a drop kick takes Cesaro down.

The yes kicks by Bryan in the middle of the ring. Shinsuke Nakamura is backstage watching the match. An uppercut by Cesaro takes Bryan down. Several more uppercuts by Cesaro but Bryan reverses one of them into a take down and the Yes lock by Bryan but Cesaro reverses it and slams his knee into Bryan’s back. Cesaro busted open on the side of his head.

Cesaro goes for a corkscrew uppercut but Bryan catches him with a kick. A kick to the head onto Cesaro as Bryan goes for the cover but Cesaro kicks out. Bryan stomping on Cesaro in the middle of the ring. Bryan goes for the running knee but Cesaro catches him as he throws Bryan in the air and lands a back breaker. Cesaro swings Bryan around the around and Cesaro gets the sharpshooter onto Bryan as Bryan taps out.

Winner: Cesaro

Bryan is down in the corner as Cesaro fist pumps him.


Backstage: Bianca Belair

Kayla is backstage with Bianca Belair. She is asked about her parents as we see an Instagram post of her parents celebrating Bianca’s Royal Rumble win. Bianca says her family has been there for her and she wants to make them proud. And even if they might not walk down the aisle with her at WrestleMania, they’ll still be there with her. Kayla asks her who she will face at WrestleMania. Bianca says this is the biggest decision of her life and she has many people telling her she should take time to make her choice.

Bianca says but this is WrestleMania and she will make her decision soon.

Bayley vs. Ruby Riott

Billie Kay joins the commentary team. The bell rings and we are under way. Bayley throws Riott in the turnbuckle but Ruby with a right hand. A kick to the head by Ruby as she goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Right hands by Ruby as she jumps off the turnbuckle but Bayley catches her and throws her face first into the top turnbuckle. Bayley goes for the cover but Ruby kicks out.

Ruby holding her elbow as Bayley attacks it. Bayley with an arm bar but Ruby slams her into the turnbuckle. Bayley placed on the top rope and Ruby tosses her off the top rope. Both women down as they get back up and Bayley throws her onto the bottom rope. Bayley on the outside and she tries to powerbomb Ruby who is on the ring apron but Ruby kicks her away. Bayley stuns Ruby. She gets in the ring and goes back to attack the bad shoulder as Billie tries to get involves and that distracts the referee and Bayley. Billie and Liv Morgan argue on the outside.

Bayley slams her knee onto Ruby’s neck and onto the mat. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Bayley

Billie Kay grabs her resumes and approaches Bayley and gives her a resume.


Backstage: Edge

Edge is shown backstage.


In-Ring: Bianca Belair, Reginald, Carmella, Sasha Banks

Bianca Belair is introduced to the ring. She says when she won the Rumble, her whole life changed overnight. Ever since Sunday, everyone keeps calling her and congratulating her on the win. She says you have Asuka who is the Raw champion. And you have Sasha Banks, the SmackDown champion. There’s a reason why she’s excited every time she got to team with her. But if she wants to put the EST in WrestleMania, she has to do it her way.

Belair is interrupted by Reginald. He comes out and says if she says Asuka, he could see that. And she could defeat Asuka. But if she says Sasha Banks, well, she knows she can’t beat Sasha. Reginald gets in the ring and says she can’t beat Carmella.

Carmella’s music hits. She tells Bianca that Reginald is a wise man even when he gets a little over excited. But don’t forget that she beat Sasha in her first match against her. Which means that she beat Sasha Banks twice. And despite all of the hype, she can do the same thing to her.

Sasha Bank’s music hits. She tells Carmella she’s going to stop looking in her rear view and start focusing on the road ahead. She tells Bianca she has her attention. She’s been in two Royal Rumble matches setting records every time. And on Sunday she lasted nearly an hour stating her claim to main event WrestleMania.

Banks tells Bianca she has been watching her. She knows she is the strongest when she picked up Otis. She saw her run passed Bayley, she knows she is the fastest. But the best? She doesn’t think so. Sasha tells her if she’s going to choose her to choose her. She has it all but she doesn’t have the Women’s Championship. Reginald gets in between them and he tells Bianca she got lucky when she won the Rumble. And if she decides to face Sasha, she will lose.

Bianca whips Reginald with her hair and Reginald goes to the outside of the ring.


Backstage: Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman

Roman is sitting with Jey backstage and Heyman tells him Edge is finally here.


Backstage: Sami Zayn

Kayla is backstage with Sami Zayn who is there with his crew. Sami says ever since his Intercontinental Championship was robbed of him, countless injustices have happened against him. But tonight, he will reclaim his Championship and his status as the undisputed Champion of the people.


Chad Gable & Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

The bell rings and we are under way. The Street Profits are watching the match backstage. Gable and Ziggler start the match as both men wrestle on the mat. An arm bar by Ziggler but Gable with a drop toe hold. The Street Profits are providing commentary during the match.

A right hand by Gable who knocks Roode off the apron. A dropkick by Ziggler. He geos for the cover but Gable kicks out. Roode is tagged in and they double team him. Roode with a drop kick. He goes for the cover but Gable kicks out. A sleeper by Roode in the middle of the ring. Roode goes for a clothesline but Otis is tagged in.

Otis knocks Roode down. He throws Roode across the ring. In comes Ziggler who is pan caked down. A clothesline by Otis onto Ziggler. A big splash onto Roode in the corner. Otis with the caterpillar. Gable is tagged in. Ziggler pushes Otis off the ring apron. Ziggler gets in the ring but a roll up German suplex by Gable. Roode with the Glorious DDT. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winners: Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode


Backstage: Hulk Hogan

Michael Cole mentions how 33 years ago, the most watched wrestling match ever between Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan took place where 33 million people watched it. We see a clip of the match.

Hulk Hogan cuts a promo with Jimmy Hart backstage. He says Edge has a decision of a lifetime. He can pick Drew McIntyre or Roman Reigns. He says Edge was his tag team a partner, Edge has won the love and loyalty of the millions of Hulkamaniacs.


Edge is backstage with Shinsuke Nakamura.


Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat Match
Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews vs. Sami Zayn

The bell rings and we are under way. Sami rolls to the outside. A head lock by Crews but Big E sends him to the ropes and a back elbow takes Crews down. In comes Sami and right hands onto Big E. He sends Big E to the ropes but a back body drop by Big E onto Sami. Apollo with a headbutt onto Big E followed by a German suplex. Crews with three German suplexes. He goes for the cover but Big E kicks out.

Sami with a right hand onto Crews but a clothesline by Crews takes Sami down. A big splash by Crews onto Big E and onto Sami. He goes for another splash on Big E but Big E moves out of the way. Big E with a splash on Zayn. He throws Crews onto the ring apron. Big E runs to the ropes but Sami grabs Big E to the outside. Right hands by Sami but Big E slams Sami’s head onto the ring apron. Apollo with a flip over the top rope onto Big E on the outside. Apollo on the ring apron and a moonsault onto Big E.

Back from commercial, Sami is beating up on Big E in the ring. He knocks Crews off the ring apron. Sami goes for the Blue THunder Bomb but Big E blocks it. Apollo off the top rope with a drop kick onto Sami. A bely to belly by Big E onto Crews. Sami jumps onto Big E and a sleeper hold but Big E flips him down. Big E with the Big splash onto Sami and Crews. Sami rolls to the outside. Big E goes for the Big Ending but a step up enzuigiri onto Big E. Crews runs to the ropes but Big E throws him to the outside. Big E slams Sami onto the mat. He goes for the cover but Zayn kicks out.

Big E gets Sami on the ring apron and lands the big splash. Crews knocks Big E down. Crews on the top rope and a frog splash onto Sami. He goes for the cover but Sami kicks out. Crews runs towards Sami but Sami with an elbow. Crews grabs Sami but Big E grabs Crews and a German suplex. Crews rolls to the outside and Sami on the ring apron. Big E runs towards Sami but a knee by Sami. Big E down and the Helluva Kick by Sami. He goes for the cover but Apollo drags Sami to the outside.

Sami beats up on Apollo on the outside as he argues with the referee. Apollo grabs Sami and right hands onto Sami. He gorilla presses Sami into the time keeper area. Apollo gets back in the ring and the Big Ending onto Crews. He goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Still WWE Intercontinental Champion, Big E


In-Ring: Edge, Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens

Edge’s music hits and out comes the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble winner. Edge says for the last 7 months, while he was grinding through rehab, he was dreaming. Every road mile he logged, he was dreaming. He dreamed of coming back home. He was dreaming of winning the Royal Rumble and main eventing WrestleMania. He was dreaming of taking back something he never lost, something he feels is his. Last Sunday at the Rumble, he came in at number 1 and outlasted 29 of the best superstars in the world. Now he finds himself in the main event of WrestleMania but what champion does he choose? He says does he pick Drew McIntyre? Finn Balor? Roman Reigns? Edge says he asked his family he gets one answer. He asks his friends, he gets another answer.

Roman’s music hits. Roman comes down to the ring with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso.

Edge tells Roman he had to bring back up. Edge says he’s out here alone. Roman tells Edge, man to man, he gives him his word, without his blessing, Paul won’t make a move on him. Edge says he’s in Roman’s head already and that’s why Jey is out here. Roman tells Jey he has this. Heyman and Jey leave the ring.

Roman steps up to Edge and tells him that’s his pass. But he disrespected him, therefore he disrespected his family. He tells Edge to acknowledge him. Acknowledge him as the champion of choice. He tells Edge to say his name.

Kevin Owens attacks Roman from behind and gives him the stunner and leaves.
