Andrade Requests His Release From WWE, Request Is Denied

Andrade asked for his release from WWE this past Monday on Raw, but his request was denied. The news was first reported by Wrestling Inc and confirmed by Dave Meltzer and PWInsider.

Andrade was reportedly described by sources as looking “absolutely miserable” backstage this past Monday on Raw, according to PWInsider.

As of now, he remains under WWE contract and is still listed as a current roster member on WWE.com.

He has removed all references to WWE from his social media profiles and changed his Twitter profile name from “@AndradeCienWWE” to “@AndradeElIdolo.”

On Instagram, he posted, “If you don’t like where you are, move. You are not a tree. Great weekend!”

He was last seen on WWE TV on the October 12 Raw, where he lost a match to Angel Garza. After the match, he was attacked by The Fiend.

That was also the night of the WWE Draft. Andrade and Mickie James were the only two wrestlers in the draft pool who were not drafted.

Andrade is engaged to Charlotte Flair. His former manager Zelina Vega was released by WWE in November.
