WWE released six wrestlers and two referees from NXT / developmental today, according to PWInsider.
There has been talk among wrestlers that there may be even more releases coming.
- Alexander Wolfe: Wolfe signed with WWE in 2015. On last night’s NXT episode, he was attacked by his Imperium stablemates.
- Jessamyn Duke: One of the MMA “Four Horsewomen,” she joined WWE in 2018.
- Vanessa Borne: Signed with WWE in 2016 and last wrestled for NXT in January 2020.
- Kavita Devi: First wrestled for WWE in the Mae Young Classic in 2017, but hasn’t wrestled since July 2019. She was scheduled to wrestle in WWE’s “Superstar Spectacle” India special earlier this year, but returned to India to deal with a family issue, according to PWInsider, and has not returned to the US.
- Skyler Story: She was officially signed to NXT last year. She formerly wrestled as Brandi Lauren in EVOLVE and Ava Storie in Impact.
- Ezra Judge: First signed in 2019, but has not appeared on NXT TV.
- Drake Wuertz: NXT referee since 2014, who has recently had controversy around him for allegedly QAnon-adjacent comments.
- Jake Clemons: NXT referee since October 2020.
