WWE: Next Saudi Event Planned for October, John Cena Added to MSG Show, Updated SD Ratings

WWE Reportedly Planning Return to Saudi Arabia This October

WWE reportedly is currently planning to hold their next event in Saudi Arabia in late October, according to the Mat Men Wrestling podcast.

Andrew Zarian reported that one of his sources within the company stated that WWE officials are currently considering an October 21st date for this upcoming event.

Zarian also reported that the timing of this event will also depend on if there are no travel or other restrictions in place for the coronavirus pandemic by that time.


WWE Announces John Cena Appearance for Upcoming MSG Show

WWE announced that John Cena will be making an appearance for the company at their upcoming Friday Night SmackDown television taping on September 10th at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Cena joins nine other RAW and SmackDown talent who have been announced so far to be appearing on the show. They are Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, The Usos, Apollo Crews, Edge, Sasha Banks, Seth Rollins, Big E, and Kevin Owens.

This past Friday’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown drew a final viewership of 2,137,000 on FOX, according to Wrestlenomics. This was up compared to the initial overnight number of 2,008,000 viewers on the network.
