Zelina Vega made her WWE return tonight on SmackDown, seven months after she was released in November.
Vega was announced by Sonya Deville as a competitor in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match. She entered the ring and cut a cocky heel promo, the was interrupted by Liv Morgan, who said that it wasn’t fair that Vega was automatically entered when she hasn’t wrestled in months.
Morgan challenged Vega to a match and Morgan beat Vega with a rollup with a handful of tights.
It was reported in May that Vega was spotted at the WWE Performance Center and would be returning to the company.
Vega was released in November after being vocally opposed to WWE’s edict banning performers from having their own “third party” accounts like Twitch and Cameo.
What to take from tonight:
I’m back.
I’m going to be in the MITB ladder match.
..and I will win.Period. Everything else is irrelevant.
