Bobby Eaton Passes Away at Age 62

“Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, widely considered one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time, died on Wednesday night at age 62.

His cause of death is unknown. Eaton, who uses a pacemaker, was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago after suffering a fall, which injured his hip and left him with some broken fingers. Eaton’s wife Donna also passed away in June.

Eaton’s sister Debbie announced the news on Facebook.

I never wanted to have to post this ,but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night .
When i find out all the details i will post them .
Bobby was the kindest ,loving person you would ever meet . I loved him so much and going to miss him .
Please say a prayer for my Neice Taryn she found him . And she just lost her Mom a little over a Month ago .

Eaton is best known as one half of The Midnight Express in the 1980s, first teaming with Dennis Condrey and then Stan Lane, and managed by Jim Cornette.

Eaton wrestled for several promotions, including Mid-South Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW, where he wrestled from 1993 until 2000. In the mid 90s in WCW, he teamed with “Lord” Steven Regal as “The Blue Bloods.” After the death of WCW, Eaton continued to wrestle various indie dates until 2015.

There’s been an outpouring of words and condolences for Eaton from the wrestling world on Twitter.
