Keith Lee Resurfaces On Social Media Sparking Fans Concerns Over His Association With A “Consciousness Explorer” Cult-Like Group

As noted before, Keith Lee has been absent from AEW since December of 2023 and had underwent two surgeries for undisclosed issues in early 2024. Michin, had announced this past July that her and Lee are no longer a married couple. Lee is currently believed to likely be retired from his in-ring wrestling career.

Lee recently resurfaced on Twitter and Instagram for the first time in nearly a year posting a photo of him with a man named Darius J. Wright. Lee also promoted Wright’s website and YouTube channel.

Lee’s posts quickly led to online concerns from fans about him being associated with a cult-like group due to Wright being a believer of himself as being a “conscious explorer” who is “able to step beyond the physical body and witness the realms that exist outside this construct” based on his website.

Wright also promotes a method called “AYDA” (Awaken Your Dormant Abilities) and lists the following as his mission statement:

My mission is to awaken the consciousness of this realm, guiding each soul to remember its eternal nature, its origin, and the home it has forgotten. The Great Work is the path of awakening to the other side and awakening the dormant abilities that we all have within us.

In a video on his YouTube channel, Wright also believes in the idea that the pyramids of Ancient Egypt actually exist for the purpose of energy, transportation, and to store knowledge. Wright also stated that he contributes to “public discussions surrounding the afterlife, the structure of reality, and the evolving understanding of who we are beyond the physical body.”

Following his posts on social media, several fans responded back about their love and support for him and concerns over his association with Wright.

One fan responded stating “Keith man, there are a lot of people who care about you. Go to one of them, do not resign yourself to a cult.”
