WWE: Kay Lee Ray at Performance Center, Natayla Injury Update, Bray Wyatt Release Update

NXT UK Talent Kay Lee Ray Reportedly Traveled to WWE’s Performance Center

NXT UK talent Kay Lee Ray reportedly recently traveled to the United States from her home and work for WWE’s NXT UK brand in the United Kingdom, according to PWInsider.

Mike Johnson reported that Ray was seen at WWE’s Performance Center this week but the reason for her visit is currently not known. Johnson reported that is also currently not known if WWE officials have any plans for Ray to appear on NXT television soon.

Natalya Injury Status Update

As noted before, Natayla suffered an ankle injury during her tag team match with Tamina against Eva Marie and Doudrop during the July 26th episode of WWE RAW in Kansas City, Missouri.

A recent episode of the Table Talk podcast had Natayla as the guest and one of the topics discussed included her providing a health update on the current status of her ankle injury.

“I am two days away from running on the treadmill, so I’m very excited about that. I had screws and stuff drilled into my bone. There were no broken bones, but it needed surgery. For some weird reason, I didn’t feel any pain. And I think it was because we were with fans….hopefully soon. For me, just to be totally transparent, the surgery was Friday. I was walking with no crustches three days later.

I probably have another week before I get my stitches out. I’ve gotta let my bone heal a little bit. But probably in the next little bit, probably under a month, we’ll see, obviously I still have to get a doctor’s clearance.”

Bray Wyatt Reportedly Was Cleared for In-Ring Return Prior to WWE Release

As noted before, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt was released by WWE this past Saturday. The surprise of Wyatt’s release caused a big hit on the morale of WWE’s locker room and frustrations by WWE’s television network partners over the loss of a notable big star from the company.

Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that his sources within WWE stated that prior to his release, Wyatt was medically cleared from an “undisclosed physical ailment” on July 29th. Barrasso reported that this was stated to him to not be a concussion-related medical issue.

Barrasso also reported that Wyatt had signed a new deal with the company last year although the length of the deal is not known. Wyatt’s release reportedly does include a 90-days non-compete clause as part of its terms.
