Allegiant Stadium Requiring Face Masks for Fans Attending SummerSlam 2021

As noted before, the state of Nevada recently issued a new emergency order for the coronavirus pandemic requiring people to wear face masks while in public indoor spaces. This new order affects twelve of the state’s seventeen counties, including Clark County which is the home of this year’s WWE SummerSlam event host venue Allegiant Stadium.

Allegiant Stadium recently issued an official statement confirming that fans attending this year’s SummerSlam event must wear face masks while inside their venue.

Official press release:

Allegiant Stadium takes the health and safety of its guests, employees and staff very seriously. In response to rising COVID-19 cases, and in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of Nevada Emergency Directive 047, all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a face mask while inside the stadium.

The State of Nevada & CDC do not currently require proof of vaccination to attend events.

Allegiant Stadium’s COVID-19 protocols are subject to change as additional information is discovered or provided by the State of Nevada & the CDC.

Individual events held at Allegiant Stadium may also implement heightened COVID-19 protocols, so please read all correspondence regarding an individual event carefully.

Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert reported that Ticketmaster’s website also includes a similar statement informing those who wish to purchase tickets for the event of the new requirements.

Adam Cole WWE Contract Status Update

As noted before, Adam Cole’s contract with WWE expired last month but he is currently expected to remain in the company until at least late August.

Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE stated that WWE officials had been split on how to handle the news of Cole’s expiring contract. Some wanted the situation to be kept quiet and “close to the vest” while others were more open to it being publicized considering the current “competitive nature of the wrestling world.”

It was also reported that as of Tuesday, WWE had yet to formally offer Cole a new contract but one influential source spoken to stated that “it’s obviously planned” to be done soon.

Ronda Rousey Criticizes WWE Fans Who Chanted “We Want Wyatt” at RAW

This past Monday’s episode of RAW featured a notable incident of fans chanting “We Want Wyatt” during the opening promo segment between MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Goldberg. These chants were in support of Bray Wyatt who had been released by the company last week.

One notable person upset over the crowd’s reaction during RAW was Ronda Rousey who recently lashed out at WWE fans on Twitter blaming them instead of WWE for Wyatt’s expandable status and lack of lasting success in the company.
