Tony Khan tweeted today that he’s been “talking to Lio Rush a lot recently about returning to AEW, and it feels like something that could happen in the near future.”
I see a lot of tweets talking about Lio Rush today. Coincidentally, I’ve been talking to @TheLionelGreen a lot recently about returning to @AEW, and it feels like something that could happen in the near future.

Rush made his first and only appearance for AEW as the “joker” entrant in the Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing on May 30, but suffered a shoulder injury during that match and a week later, he said that he’s retiring from pro wrestling.
Rush said that he would finish his contractual obligations with NJPW first, and he’s been wrestling for NJPW on their US-based show NJPW Strong since his AEW appearance.
