Some notes on yesterday’s WWE releases:
– Raw and SmackDown contracted wrestlers who were released have a 90-day non-compete clause, so would be free to sign elsewhere on February 2, 2022. NXT-contracted wrestlers have 30-day non-competes, so would be free on December 4.
– Ember Moon, despite being in NXT, has a 90 day non-compete, because she was on a main roster contract, having moved back to NXT last year.
– B-Fab is believed to have just signed a new main roster contract in recent days after she and Hit Row were drafted to SmackDown.
– Eva Marie had been taking time off because she was shooting parts for a new undisclosed movie, which she says she has a lead role in.
– It was previously reported that Gran Metalik requested his release a couple of months ago, but his Lucha House Party partner Lince Dorado also asked for his release. Both wrestlers had the releases granted yesterday.
– Keith Lee said that the “Bearcat” gimmick was not his idea, responding to a comment on Instagram. After someone commented, “this whole Bearcat thing was his idea,” Lee responded, “No. It was not. Lol.”
– WWE also let go several people who worked in the WWE offices yesterday.
