Juice Robinson Confirms NJPW Contract Expires in Early 2022

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Juice Robinson. One of the topics discussed included Robinson revealing that his current contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires in February of 2022.

“I’ll be a free agent [in] February. It’s a great time in wrestling to show up anywhere, and maybe it’s the right time for me to spread my wings and fly.”

In a separate interview with Instinct Culture by Denise Salcedo podcast, Robinson stated that he is currently unsure of his plans for the next year of his career.

“I think right now I am just gonna float for a while because right now there are so many other things on my mind really than wrestling, so I don’t really know where I am going to be next year with wrestling, I might get fired up to do it, I might not. I don’t really know. We shall see. {laughs} I might just float for a while, I think it’s time for me just to do my thing, be my own boss, and just do what I wanna do on a weekly basis.”

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan Health Status Update

As noted before, Hacksaw Jim Duggan revealed last month that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and underwent successful surgery for it.

Duggan provided a health update this past Wednesday on Twitter stating that he was recently discharged from the hospital and is currently resting at his home. Duggan also stated that due to his recent surgery, he will be cancelling all of his scheduled appearances and bookings for the rest of this year.

“Hi, everybody. I’d just like to give everybody a quick update after my back-to-back surgeries. Obviously, I’m home, doing well, feel much, much better. I also want to say thank you to everyone for the thoughts, the prayers, the good wishes. You know, folks, it’s humbling to have so many people all over the world care. I tell you, it means a lot. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you so much to so many folks for checking in on me.

Also, I’d like to say I’m sorry and I hope you understand that I’m going to have to cancel the rest of the shows for this year, but we’re looking forward to travelling the world next year, God willing. So, hopefully, we’ll see you down the road. Again, thank you very much for all the good wishes and prayers. God bless and hopefully see you soon.”
