Sami Zayn Comments on Match with Johnny Knoxville Being “One of My All Time Favorites”

This past Saturday’s WWE WrestleMania 38 Night 2 event in Arlington, Texas featured an Anything Goes match between Sami Zayn and Johnny Knoxville, which was won by Knoxville.

Zayn recently reflected on Twitter about his match against Knoxville being one of his favorite matches of his career.

“My Wrestlemania match against Johnny Knoxville is one of my all time favorites. Definitely one of the matches I’m most proud of.

I’ve had a lot of great matches in my career, I’d put this up with any of them.

Anyone who saw this match will remember it. That’s as good as it gets.”


NXT Tag Team Championship Vacated & New Champions to be Crowned Next Week

As noted before, NXT tag team MSK’s Nash Carter was released by WWE this past Wednesday due to allegations of domestic abuse and online controversy involving a photo of him wearing a Hitler mustache and giving the Nazi salute. Prior to his release, Carter was one half of the current NXT Tag Team Champions with his tag partner Wes Lee.

WWE recently announced that MSK has vacated their NXT Tag Team Championship and they will be crowning a new champion on the May 12th episode of NXT.

New champions will be crowned this Tuesday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.

Curtis Axel & Ariya Daivari Reportedly Given Producer Tryouts

Former WWE talents Curtis Axel and Ariya Daivari reportedly were recently invited by WWE for tryouts for a potential backstage producer job in the company, according to Fightful Select.

It was reported that Axel and Daivari’s producer tryouts with the company started at this past Friday’s SmackDown show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was reported that Axel helped produce the Sasha Banks vs. Liv Morgan match with Tyson Kidd. Daivari reportedly helped produce the Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn match with Chris “Abyss” Park.

Axel previously worked in the company from 2007 to 2020 while Daivari previously worked in the company from 2016 to 2021. Both had been released during the COVID-19 pandemic due to “budget cuts” reasons.
